When we think of ‘joining with God on mission’, we often think of our activities in the neighbourhood. This is, of course, an important part of what it means, but ‘joining with God’ ultimately means that we bear witness to who He is in every aspect of our lives. This translates into ‘loving Him with all of our hearts’ personally and corporately.
Session 1 – Loving God Personally
Our longing is to love God above all else. This is life to the fullest. Admittedly, this is difficult for many of us and we may need to pause, take a deep breath and look at to whom or to what we may be giving our affection. We will never regret paying attention to the affection of our hearts and making the necessary corrections.
Session 2 – Loving God Corporately
As we are being constantly squeezed into the mould of the culture we may be tempted to make worship about “what I get from the serum or the music”. Corporate worship, however, actually bears witness to the God we have given our lives to, so we need to re-evaluate how we come into God’s presence together and the things we do as we come together.
