Matt Wilks

Born and raised a proud Canadian who currently lives in Calgary AB, Matt has served as a youth pastor, lead pastor, camp manager, and a host of other roles in and around the city of Calgary. Matt currently runs a ministry consulting company called Baseline Ministries as well as serving as the Canadian Director for Christ in Youth.  

Currently, Matt has been helping Renfrew Baptist Church through a re-visioning process over the last year. Matt runs a national ministry called Canadian Youth Worker which provides national training events and is a leading voice for youth ministry in Canada. Matt teaches at numerous Bible Schools in Canada including Ambrose University located in Calgary. 

Matt loves to help ministries in regard to ministry audit, refocused philosophy of ministryand multi staff dynamics. Matt's first published book is entitled, Cultivate: AYouthworker's Guide to Establishing Healthy Relationships.  

Matt has been married to Michelle for almost 30 years and has two daughters, Maris and Macauleigh, 25 and 22 years old.
